Privacy policy - how we handle your data
Protecting your personal information is a core part of running a safe casino, and this policy sets out exactly how we do it. It explains what personal information Level Up collects, why we collect it, how we store and protect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We handle your data in line with Australian law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to the practices described here. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions, and we encourage you to read both.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run your account, keep play fair, and meet our legal duties – nothing more. The main categories are:
How we use your data
We use your information only for clear, lawful purposes that you would reasonably expect: to verify your identity and age, open and run your account, process deposits and withdrawals, deliver and monitor bonuses, and provide responsible-gaming tools. We also use it to comply with the law – including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 – and to detect and prevent fraud and multiple accounts. We do not use your data for unrelated purposes, and we do not make automated decisions that have legal effects without human review.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site secure, remember your preferences and language, keep you logged in, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others are optional. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect how parts of the site work, such as staying signed in.
Security
We protect your data with strong, layered safeguards. Payments and personal details are encrypted with AES-256 and travel over an SSL-encrypted connection, so sensitive information such as passwords and card numbers cannot be intercepted in transit. Sensitive identifiers are masked (obfuscated) during processing, data is stored securely with Australian data-residency in mind, and access is restricted to authorised staff for legitimate purposes only. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we work continuously to protect your information, and we never sell it.
Your rights under the APPs
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have clear, enforceable rights over your personal information, which you can exercise by contacting us:
- Access – request a summary of the personal data we hold about you, usually provided within 30 days.
- Correction – update inaccurate or out-of-date details, such as your KYC information.
- Limited anonymity – deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym for non-financial queries, where the law allows.
- Complaint – raise a privacy concern with us, and escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if it is not resolved.
We will respond to valid requests within the timeframes set by law. Some data may need to be kept even after a request, where regulations require it.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it. Identity and transaction records are held for seven (7) years after your account closes, in line with AML/CTF requirements, so we can meet our legal and financial obligations. Non-essential data is reviewed and purged regularly, and information is securely destroyed or de-identified once it is no longer required.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is necessary and lawful: with regulated payment and verification providers to process transactions and confirm your identity; with fraud-prevention and security services to protect the platform; and with regulators or authorities where we are legally required to, for example for anti-money-laundering compliance. Any partner that handles your data is required to protect it to the same standard we do, and to use it only for the agreed purpose.
Children
The site is strictly for adults. You must be 18 or older to register or play, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Our verification checks are designed to prevent underage access, and any account found to belong to a minor will be closed.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our services. The current version is always published on this page, and continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy. If you have any question about your data, or wish to exercise your rights, you can contact our Privacy Officer through the contact form on the site. Our registered address is:
